Halloween is a great time to have some creative fun and a fake bags body bag is a great way to set the stage for some ghoulish bedroom decor. I was determined to make a body bag for fake bags my daughter this year and I’m here to tell you how it was done.
First of all, let me say that this wasn’t as complicated as it might seem. All you need is a plain white sheet, some sharp scissors, some white string and a sewing machine. I started by cutting the sheet to size, making sure it fit the body of the person I wanted the bag for. I cut it into a rectangular shape, leaving a few inches at the top for the “hood”.
Next, I gathered my resources and got to work. I cut some white string into strips and began sewing them along the sides. This was to act as the seams of the body bag. I did the same along the top for the hood and made sure to secure the strings firmly.
Once I was done sewing the string in place, I cut some air holes into the sides of the body bag. This way, it would look authentic and not suffocate the person inside! I finished off by tying a bow with the string at the top, for an extra detail.
Finally, I added some ghoulish details to make it extra spooky. I picked up some glow-in-the-dark paint and splattered it here and there to make it look like the body bag had been found in a graveyard. I also used some white and black fabric markers to draw crosses and other spooky symbols all over the bag.
When it was all done, I set it up in my daughter’s room and she absolutely loved it! It was a great way to get into the spooky spirit of Halloween and it cost me almost nothing. Now I want to know, how are you setting the stage for the ultimate Halloween experience?
